In this spirit I started my studies here at the MPI for Marine Microbiology in 2006 after finishing my studies in computer science. So far, I have been busy with projects focusing on data integration (
www.megx.net), consistent contextual data acquisition (
MetaBar and
CDinFusion) and the
analysis of large scale metagenomic datasets. Furthermore, I have been involved in standards development for biological sequence data (
