Validation

MADA has been validated for (A) identification purposes based on a microarray raw data set taken from Peplies et al. 2004 who evaluated specificity of the format with bacterial pure cultures (Fig. 1b of the publication) for subsequent analysis of complex marine communities and (B) for gene expression analysis based on a raw data set that was taken from the Stanford Microarray Database and corresponds to the results of Tab.1 in the publication of Helmann et al. 2003.
