Coordination of Max-Planck-Day 2018:
Welcome to our press office
“You don’t really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother.”
This quote is usually attributed to Albert Einstein. Be that true or not – it tells us something essential: Communicating science is for everybody’s benefit. Granny will understand, as well as her grandchild.
Thus, we made it our aim to communicate our institute’s science. Our audience spans from scientists and the press to policymakers and the public, as well as from young to old. We are a diverse team with a common goal. Feel free to get in touch if we can be of service.
By the way – we are well aware that we are doing grannies great wrong by implying they might be simple-minded. Therefore, we suggest you take a look at Grandma got STEM, a site highlighting the contribution older women have made to science.
