Mentoring-Netzwerk – Minerva-FemmeNet

x

Minerva FemmeNet is a network for women scientists in all research fields and at all hierarchical levels of the Max Planck Society. It aims to draw on the experience of expert female scientists – including former members of the Institute – and share it with young women in the form of mentoring sponsorships. More than 300 mentors from Germany, England, France, Spain, the USA and Japan are available on a voluntary basis to advise almost 400 mentees on all aspects of career planning and work-life balance. This is mainly carried out in tandem teams.

How you benefit as a mentee: You are able to draw on the mentor's experiences, gain concrete impressions of the world of work and obtain feedback for self-assessment purposes. You will also establish contacts and gain access to the mentor's networks.

How you benefit as a mentor: You develop your leadership and social skills as well as reflecting on your career path and professional experience. This process enhances your self-awareness.
