We were part of the Bremer Forschungsmeile 2024

This year's Maritime Woche once again offered cultural and scientific, family-oriented, and free highlights for all visitors. The Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology was present at the Forschungsmeile on the Schlachteufer as part of Maritime Woche. As always, many Bremen research and scientific institutes presented themselves there, and many visitors were able to gain a broad picture of Bremen's research landscape and experience a lot.

In the tent of our Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology, which we shared with the NWV (Naturwissenschaftlicher Verein zu Bremen), there was information and hands-on activities for researchers young and old. We presented a small insight into our research in a playful and entertaining way. Visitors had the opportunity to use microscopes with us to discover what is hidden in a drop of water, answer exciting questions in our quiz game on the topic of “The Ocean and Me,” and perhaps receive a small prize from our treasure chest.
