Shallow Water Symbioses
We employ a variety of -omics methods within the Department of Symbiosis to study shallow water host-symbiont systems. Within the Metabolic Interactions Group, we can address certain hypotheses with mass spectrometry techniques including GC measurements of volatile organic sulfur compounds, targeted analyses of biological compounds e.g. sterols, enzyme assays, bulk metabolomics, and metaproteomics.
