Women in science

The FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE program was launched in 2006 so that highly qualified women do not have to interrupt a promising career significantly when they start a family, let alone break it off completely.

It supports highly qualified female doctoral and postdoctoral students with children in reconciling a family life and career and seeks to strengthen them along their promising path in the field of research. In 2017, one of the three award-winners will be Dr. Laurie Hofmann from the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology in Bremen.
